Adidas, the worldwide apparel behemoth, has teamed up with the acclaimed digital artist Fewocious for an exhilarating partnership that merges physical sneakers with NFT technology.
New Concept
The primary objective of this collaboration is to delve into the concept of “art of play.” A unique NFT mint pass titled “Trefoil Flower” will take center stage, with a limited edition of 4,500 available. These exclusive passes can only be acquired through the OpenSea marketplace, beginning on June 22.

The Trefoil Flower NFT mint pass functions as an exclusive voucher for a pair of specially crafted physical sneakers known as Adidas Originals Campus 00s. To obtain their sneakers, holders of the mint pass will have the choice to “burn” (permanently eliminate) the NFT. The burning procedure is slated to commence in August, and the shipping of the sneakers is expected to take place the following month.
Each physical sneaker pair will feature an NFC tag, a technological component commonly found in devices like smartphones and contactless credit cards. This NFC tag will be associated with a corresponding NFT, creating a digital representation of the physical sneakers.
How To Mint?
The launch of the Trefoil Flower NFT will involve a pre-sale process consisting of three tiers, followed by a public mint. Those who hold Adidas’ Alts Decos and Soles NFTs, along with Fewocious Paint Drops, will have the privilege of early access to minting. They can acquire the NFT at a discounted price of 0.2 ETH (approximately $350).
Later on, holders of specific NFTs such as Bored Ape Yacht Club, Doodles, and Rug Radio NFTs will have the opportunity to mint the NFT at a slightly higher price of 0.25 ETH ($435). The public sale will then begin at the same price point.

Brands Getting Into NFTs
In a similar vein, Puma, another prominent apparel brand, has entered the NFT realm by launching a physical sneaker project in collaboration with NBA player LaMelo Ball and the NFT initiative called Gutter Cat Gang. Puma’s forthcoming sneaker model, the GutterMelo MB.03, is scheduled for release in late June and will be obtainable through an NFT pass priced at $175.
The partnership between Adidas and Fewocious exemplifies the growing convergence of physical apparel and NFTs. By merging tangible products with digital assets, these brands aim to offer a distinct and immersive experience for collectors and enthusiasts, reflecting the evolving landscape of fashion and digital art.
